Rencore adds Palantir AIP to its AI governance platform

Rencore extends its vendor-agnostic AI governance platform to Palantir AIP with 14 policies, 17 inventories, and 9 reports covering security, sprawl control, and audit trails.

Rencore now supports governance for Palantir AIP, adding full inventory, policy, and reporting coverage for one of the most debated AI platforms in European enterprise IT. The Palantir AIP connector is generally available today as part of Rencore’s vendor-agnostic AI governance platform, which covers 15+ AI vendors from a single policy engine.

What the connector covers

The Palantir AIP connector delivers 14 pre-built governance policies across three categories:

Security, five policies targeting authentication gaps, missing security markings, orphaned group memberships, undocumented markings, and users without explicit organization roles. These address the access control risks that matter most in regulated environments where Palantir deployments face heightened scrutiny.

Sprawl, five policies that flag unused AIP agents (90-day inactivity), trashed projects pending cleanup, agents without descriptions, stale projects, and empty spaces. Palantir AIP makes it easy to spin up new agents in AIP Agent Studio. Without governance, agent sprawl accumulates fast.

Operations, four policies covering unlinked projects, uncategorized markings, empty groups, and organizations without active users. These keep the Palantir environment auditable and reduce noise in access reviews.

Beyond policies, the connector inventories 17 resource types, from instances, organizations, and users down to individual agent sessions, session traces, and audit events. Nine built-in reports visualize adoption trends, token consumption, audit event distribution, and security marking coverage.

Why it matters now

The EU AI Act reaches full enforcement in August 2026. Article 4 requires organizations to ensure AI literacy across their workforce. Articles 6 through 27 impose risk classification, documentation, and human oversight obligations for high-risk AI systems. Palantir AIP agents that touch HR decisions, financial analysis, or critical infrastructure operations may fall under these requirements.

Rencore’s Palantir connector gives compliance teams the inventory and audit trail they need: which agents exist, who uses them, what data they access, and how sessions are tracked. Combined with Rencore’s connectors for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, and nine other AI platforms, governance policies apply consistently regardless of which vendor an enterprise selects.
